Welcome!
The Quinte Curling Club wants you to know the joys of curling and welcomes you to visit the Club to see our members in action. You can reach the office at 613-962-5570 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to make arrangements.
In October, we host free introductory sessions for those curious about the sport. You need to arrive with clean running shoes and warm clothing. Club volunteers will set you up with ‘grippers’ – a rubbery sole that fits on your shoes and keeps you from slipping on the rink’s pebbly surface.
Check out the calendar page to find the dates.
Once on the ice, you’ll be introduced to some terminology: hack, house, hog, button and broom, among others. With a ‘slider’ under one of your grippers, you’ll push out on the ice to get a feel of delivering arock. Once you are a bit familiar with the process, you’ll try the same push with a curling stone.
Worried about getting down on the ice? Stick curling is another option which we will be happy to demonstrate.
In the fall, the club offers a 7-week Learn2Curl course at a very reasonable rate. Beginning in January, Learn2Curl grads are encouraged to join the Rookie League where more experienced club members will be on hand to help the grads hone their new skills.
